San Diego

To celebrate Nate graduating from PA school and getting a job we headed down to Cornado Island in San Diego for a night.  We spent time in the Gaslamp district where we got lunch from the Old Spaghetti Factory and ate it at the park inside Petco Park.  We then walked around for a bit and had dessert at Ghirardelli's.  After checking into our hotel we spent the evening walking around Cornado Island.  The next morning we got up and headed home.  The short trip was great, but it is a lot of work traveling with an infant!  We plan on staying close to home for the next few months.

Father's Day

On Nate's first Father's Day we went down to Orange County to watch the Dodgers and Angels play.  Nolan did great; he made it until midway through the seventh inning.  He did make Becca miss the most exciting part of the game (a fan running onto the field and being tackled by security) because of a dirty diaper.  On the way home we stopped by Sonic (yum!) and introduced my dad to cream slushes.  We also were about 20 feet from Kobe Bryant when walking into the stadium and have a bad picture below to prove it!

Nolan Christopher

Nolan was born on May 1, 2009 at 5:54 p.m.  He was 9 lbs 3 oz and it was quite a shock!  We weren't expecting such a big baby.  The first few weeks have flown by and we are exhausted, but enjoying every minute with him!
