Another trip to Oregon

At the end of July, Nolan and I took another trip to Oregon to see the girls. We met them in Newport, Oregon and spent the weekend on the coast. Then we headed to Bend for the rest of the trip. It was a lot of fun, but we were away from Daddy for 9 days, which is just way too long. As much fun as we had, we were tired and ready to head home!

Tacoma Children's Museum

Nolan and I spent a lot of time this summer exploring our new surroundings and finding fun things to do. Our friend Kimber, took us to the Tacoma Children's Museum and farmers market. Every Thursday during the summer the market is open and admission to the museum is free! Nolan had a great time, but didn't like when I kept putting him in the dress-up clothes the museum had. We also greatly enjoyed all the fresh fruit that the farmers market had. I am really looking forward to that as I write this in cold February!

All dressed up...

He had it off quick!

A New Skill

Nolan started walking shortly after his first birthday, but it took a couple of months for him to figure out how to go from crawling to standing without having something to hold onto. Soon after he learned the skill we caught it on film at Point Defiance Park, just across the bridge from us!
Crawling...

Booty in the air...

One hand off the ground!

Switched hands, about to push off!

So close...Almost all the way up!

Off and running! That was easy!

Nolan's 1st haircut

Nolan had his first haircut on July 2nd. He was a little unsure, so I had to sit with him during the cut. Otherwise he handled it great! The lady worked fast and we couldn't believe how much older he looked when it was done.

Before...look at the shaggy mess!
